The Purrfect Puppy & May the Best Dog Win! by Kelly Hashway

May the Best Dog Win
May the Best Dog Win, was such a cute book! The illustrations were great and the story was so adorable!

Dash has the perfect life until the Super Sweeper 5000 shows up. Sweeper runs all over the house sucking up the left over food scraps, and he even gets his own room! But Dash won't give up his place as the favorite dog without a fight.

My Thoughts:

Who couldn't love a story about a cute, curious puppy? Dash was not only adorable but funny too! Dash thinks the new sweeper is another dog. The sweeper is hairless, does tricks, can go in the bathroom when Dash has to go outside, eats all the crumbs under the table and gets his own room. Sweeper grabbed the end of Dash' rope bone and growled, leaving his rope frayed. Dash was sad. He just had to accept that Sweeper was the new favorite dog in the house. Then, mom took Dash to get a new rope bone and he was the happiest puppy ever.

This is one of my favorite parts:

"This sweeper is wonderful. It gets up everything," Mom said.
Dash's ears perked up. What's he getting now?

The Purrfect Puppy

The Purrfect Puppy was another adorable children's book by author Kelly Hashway.

This stray kitten was raised by a mother dog and her puppies. The kitten learned how to growl, shake as well as other stuff the puppies did. A little girl named Lizzie fell in love with this kitty. She wanted to give her the "purrfect" name. Lizzie named her new kitty "Puppy"

I really liked how the author added questions at the end of the story as well as a page to find hidden paw prints. The pictures were colorful and vivid. This is a cute short story to share and read to younger children.

Thank you to the author for providing this delightful and creative story.
