Meet our new demigods; Jason, Piper and Leo.
Jason is the mystery in this trio, see he doesn't remember anything, not even who he is. A God has stolen his memories.
Piper has a secret, a terrible one that will only cause pain and suffering, but what other choice does she have?
Leo, the comic relief of our group, is good at fixing stuff, now only if he can fix his past long enough to stop the running.
Each are intertwined through a destiny that has brought them to this moment in time.
A Quest. The start of the new prophecy has begun...

To be honest, I was a littleteeytinybit nervous that this book wasn't going to live up to my expectations. Percy Jackson and his gang were quite the amazing characters and I wasn't sure I was willing to let them go while a bunch of new demigods took over.
Yeah, I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Rick's the man, and he quickly put my mind at ease once I got this book in my hands. I can't believe how much I've missed this world.

I loved this book! I don't care that I'm a 36 year old mom of two. I adore this whole series so much! Rick is like, the male JKR, he has the most amazing imagination and it's penned in such a solid pace. It's completely captivating that I just wanted to savor every single word of this 500+ book and before I knew it, I was already done and craving more.

There are so many colorful new characters, creatures and monsters to enjoy. Reading this feels like my own little history lesson in mythology. I loved there back stories, there unique talents, there choice of weapons and the magic of it all. We even get to see some of our favorite familiar hero's, but sadly, some aren't here in this book, but hoping Rick will include them in the next

I don't want to give anything away. A lot of great and fun stuff happen in this book. It's more gripping, a little more intense but still the fun and fantastic escape that I've come to rely on, still lives in these pages.

Remarkable-Remarkable stuff! The Lost Hero is an incredible start to a brand new adventure!
Highly entertaining! Highly recommended! For all ages!
Read this, it's made of pure awesomesauce!

Sleigh Tour The Magic of Christmas: (Review) The BFG by Roald Dahl

My Children’s story choice for today is The BFG by Roald Dahl

My Thoughts:

This book is the one that I remember sparking my reading interest when I was younger.  I remember sitting in a circle with my classmates and listening to my teacher read and oh my I was hooked.  Roald Dahl is a master genius which I am sure most of you know and The BFG is my favorite of his works.

This story centers around a young girl and her Big Friendly Giant (BFG).  See the BFG is the only friendly giant around, the rest snatch little boys and girls from their bed and well eat them.  *eww*  SO together they devise a plan to stop these mean giants and make it safe for all the children.  See even at an early age I was chomping at the bit for dark and twisted creatures ha! 

Seriously though this story has everything a kid could want action, friendship, hope, and love.  I was enthralled with the way Dahl writes and even to this day I still love his stories.

Sleigh Tour Winter Book Review: Winter's Shadow by M.J. Hearle

Hey everyone!  It is my turn, Crystal, to host my favorite Winter read!  I read this book last year I think and well it has stayed with me ever since.  I hope you enjoy my review and make sure to stop by our Sleigh Tour page to see all the awesome Winter themed books this week at our awesome bloggie friends!

My Winter themed book is Winter's Shadow by M.J. Hearle

My Thoughts:

For those who follow our blog you all know by now that we love and I mean LOVE Aussie books and Aussie authors, this book is no exception.  Winter's Shadow is writing at it's finest and I am so in love with M.J. Hearle.

Winter's Shadow starts off with Winter's meeting with Blake our resident hottie/bad boy/mysterious guy.  He is everything that you want in your paranormal bad boy and when he saves Winter's life she quickly becomes entranced by him. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved how the author dragged out their story.  And I say dragged out in the best way possible.  It felt like breathing, every sentence was in inhale and an exhale just so beyond brilliant.  Blake and Winter were amazing characters, they complimented each other very well and well I have a soft spot for guys who protect their ladies.  Blake is fierce and scary but you can't help but fall for him and his tormented ways.  Winter, and can I just say that I love that name, was not your typical heroine and I loved her for that.  The story has a very unique twist and I have to say it was amazing!   I can't say I have ever read a book like this before and it just goes to show you that Aussie's definitely have something in their water.

M.J. Hearle has crafted something that is so unique and different and I can't wait to read the sequel!!  If you are looking for a new and refreshing paranormal then you really need to grab this book!
