Summary Blurb(GR):
Gabie drives a Mini Cooper. She also works part time as a delivery girl at Pete’s Pizza. One night, Kayla—another delivery girl—goes missing. To her horror, Gabie learns that the supposed kidnapper had asked if the girl in the Mini Cooper was working that night. Gabie can’t move beyond the fact that Kayla’s fate was really meant for her, and she becomes obsessed with finding Kayla. She teams up with Drew, who also works at Pete’s. Together, they set out to prove that Kayla isn’t dead—and to find her before she is.

My Thoughts:
I still have chills from reading this book!  I usually tend to shy away from murder thriller type books but The Night She Disappeared came very highly recommended so I thought I would give it a go and I am so glad that I did!

The story is told from multiple points of view and sometimes that doesn’t work for me, but in this context it was brilliant.  You not only get to see what the victim is thinking but you get to experience every side of the story and it really helps pull you in.  I won’t lie one of the POV’s is very disturbing and I almost skipped those parts but I read them and it gave the story a whole new level of creep factor.

The plot was very well researched and there were times that I thought this story was real.  There are a few pages inside the story that have so much detail like the missing person report, 911 calls, and the police reports that I promise you I wanted to run screaming from this book because it frightened me.  My heart was in a panic for the characters in this book.  Gabie and Drew had a great connection and I was so glad that she had him there to help her deal with everything.  I was afraid that if he walked out she would have gone over the edge.  Kayla showed great strength and I was really rooting for her all the way.  I can’t even imagine having to go through what she did.  I again have chills!

This story will stay with me for a very long time and I will definitely appreciate my pizza delivery drivers more from now on.  If you think about it going up to somebody’s house at 8 or 9 o’clock is really dangerous and you never know who will answer the door.  *shudders*

Thank you Wendy for sharing this book with me!  I am so glad that I read it!
