Waiting on Wednesday, #19

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we can't wait to get our hands on.

Here's my selection for this week...

Hysteria by Megan Miranda
Publication Date: February 5, 2013
Publisher:Walker Childrens
Mallory's life is falling apart. Her boyfriend was stabbed. He bled to death in her kitchen. Mallory was the one who stabbed him. But she can't remember what happened that night. She only remembers the fear...

When Mallory's parents send her away to a boarding school, she thinks she can escape the gossip and the threats. But someone, or something, has followed her. There's a hand that touches her shoulder when she's drifting off to sleep. A voice whispering her name. And everyone knows what happened. So when a pupil is found dead, Mallory's name is on their lips. Her past can be forgotten but it's never gone. Can Mallory live with that?
Okay, I realize that Halloween is over, but I'm always in the mood for some creeptastic storytelling, and Hysteria has creepy written all over it... with a capital C in fact! This wouldn't be my first book by Megan Miranda and despite finding a few flaws in her debut novel, I was able to clearly see she has the potential to deliver a unique and great story. This book seems to have all the right elements...  some mystery, paranormal, and possibly a touch of freaky.  Well, if it's all combined properly, I think this could make for an interesting adventure. I'm eager to give it a try!

Sooooo, what book are you waiting on??

  2. This does sound creepy which I also love even when it is not Halloween. Plus dying to know what happened and if she really stabbed her boyfriend.
