Summary Blurb (GR):
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarre connection. I’ve sworn him off even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But against all common sense, I’m falling for him. Hard.

Our relationship issues aren’t out biggest problem…

The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And when a new boy shows up a school with a secret of his own, things get complicated fast. I need to choose between my own instincts and Daemon’s.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Daemon’s never going to stop searching until gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies

My Thoughts:
I want to live inside Jennifer Armentrouts brain.  Really I am not kidding, if there was a way I would totally leave all other books behind and just live inside her masterful mind and watch Daemon.  *sigh* I am officially obsessed.
If you thought Obsidian was hot, you haven’t seen anything yet.  The first few chapters were so hot and squee worthy that I found myself squeeing out loud and  I think the poor person sitting next to me on the airplane thought I was having a heart attack.  She gave me several WTH looks and I just kept on smiling and squeeing because really I had no control over my behavior.
The story takes off right where Obsidian ended with Daemon rising to the challenge of making Katy his and trying to keep the DOD away from his family and Katy.  After the big light show at the ending of Obsidian the DOD starts asking questions and that is never a good thing for our resident aliens.  I still really appreciate that Katy is a book blogger.  I loved all the little blogger details that were put into Katy’s life. It made her seem more real and I could totally connect with her.  I also really give Katy kudos for sticking to her guns and making it hard for Daemon to win back her love after everything that he put her through in the first book.  She stood up for herself and it was amazing to see a strong female character not fall for the guy just because he is hot.  The Katy/Daemon moments were awesome and I love their chemistry together.  It was awesome seeing a new side to Daemon, but I have to say I still the pen poking arrogant side lol.
What unfolds as far as the actual story is a very intense plot which I never saw coming and I have to say that I cannot wait to get my hands on Opal!  The ending is killer and I have so many hopes for all the characters involved.  That is all I am going to say because the plot twist it pure brilliance and I don’t want to give anything away.
I have to gush a little about Jennifer Armentrout.  There are not that many authors who could write so many series at once and keep them all interesting but Jennifer has accomplished this flawlessly.  I want Deity just as much as I want Opal.  I am so excited to read her new book Cursed and her adult debut novel Unchained.  Every time I think about any of these books I start bouncing and everyone I know does the same.  She is awesome and like I said I just want to live in her mind.
