Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we can't wait to get our hands on.
Here's my selection for this week...
Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook
Publication Date: January 29, 2013
Publisher: Harper Teen
Bonnie and Clyde meets IF I STAY in this addictively heart-wrenching story of two desperate teenagers on the run from their pasts.
They’re young. They’re in love. They’re on the run.
Zoe wants to save Will as much as Will wants to save Zoe. When Will turns eighteen, they decide to run away together. But they never expected their escape to be so fraught with danger....
When the whole world is after you, sometimes it seems like you can’t run fast enough.
Nobody But Us, told in alternating perspectives from Will and Zoe, is an unflinching novel, in turns heartbreaking and hopeful, about survival, choices, and love...and how having love doesn’t always mean that you get a happy ending. Described as “beautiful, heartbreaking, and exhilarating” by Kody Keplinger, author of The DUFF, Nobody But Us will prove irresistible to fans of Nina Lacour, Jenny Han, and Sara Zarr.
Mixing Bonnie and Clyde with If I Stay can only lead to one thing for me... PURE BLISS! I'm a true fan of both and to hear that it's told in alternating POVs only cements my enthusiasm to read this YA contemporary. I can't wait to get my hands on this book.
Sooo what book are you waiting on???
I love the idea of a Bonnie & Clyde style YA book! But mixing it with If I Stay sealed the deal! Sigh...now I want to re-read If I Stay - such a tearjerker!

I'm a little worried with the comment, "having love doesn't always mean you get a happy ending" but other than that it sounds good. I loved If I Stay. Great pick Arlene. :)

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next.
