Waiting on Wednesday, #18

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we can't wait to get our hands on.

Here's my selection for this week...

Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
Expected Publication: March 5th 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen

When Nadia’s family moves to Captive’s Sound, she instantly realizes there’s more to it than meets the eye. Descended from witches, Nadia senses a dark and powerful magic at work in her new town. Mateo has lived in Captive’s Sound his entire life, trying to dodge the local legend that his family is cursed - and that curse will cause him to believe he’s seeing the future … until it drives him mad. When the strange dreams Mateo has been having of rescuing a beautiful girl—Nadia—from a car accident come true, he knows he’s doomed.

Despite the forces pulling them apart, Nadia and Mateo must work together to break the chains of his family’s terrible curse, and to prevent a disaster that threatens the lives of everyone around them. Shimmering with magic and mystery, New York Times bestselling author Claudia Gray’s new novel is sure to draw fans of the Hex Hall and Caster Chronicles series, and fans of the hit CW TV show The Secret Circle.

I’ve been a huge fan of Claudia Gray since the first week her Evernight series hit the shelves and despite this author’s incredible, head-desk worthy plot twists, I enjoy her writing a TON! I haven’t picked up another book by Gray since the final installment Afterlife, and I’m just about ready to revisit her exciting storytelling and the likeable casts she’s able to create. Books that involve powerful magic, mystery and curses… well sign me up! I can’t wait to get my hands on Claudia Gray’s first book of her new witchcraft-based trilogy!
Soooo, what book are you waiting on?

  7. Oooo... magic? Family curses? Romance? Count me in. ;) The "headdesk-worthy plot twist" thing made me laugh. I still haven't read Afterlife because of the twist at the end of Hourglass. I really should just finish it. :P

Thanks so much for visiting our WoW, Crystal!

  25. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything. Nevertheless imagine if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this blog could certainly be one of the very best in its field. Great blog!

So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!

  32. I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
